The Press is keen to support emerging researchers and foster research communities by providing a platform for developing academic areas. We align our activities with the key tenets and identified strategic priorities of the  University of Huddersfield Research Strategy .

By publishing innovative research as open access we aim to improve access to scholarly work for the benefit of all.

Monograph peer review process

For monographs, the proposal and any draft or final materials are sent for review by appropriate external experts and the internal Press Board. We would normally secure a minimum of three external peer reviews, plus the comments from the Press Board.

Peer review comments are collated and communicated to the author as feedback. The author is then asked to respond to the peer reviews and address any issues or take up or respond to any suggestions which may have been made. Once the peer review process has been concluded satisfactorily the monograph can then be accepted and passed to the Press Manager to begin production.
